A true story of unforeseen magic
Here’s the story:
Sunday night, we get home from my sister’s wedding. On Monday, we go back to school and work and are preparing to leave for another family trip Friday at 4am. On Wednesday, we get a text from our realtors (who we really like BUT we weren’t really looking) saying that this house was on the market and it was offer review day, but the sellers didn’t like the offer. If we want to see it, they can show us Wednesday after work.
We go see it. It’s cute AF. AND it has a REDWOOD TREE in the backyard. It checks all the dream boxes. The kids run circles in and out the back doors finding fairies, hiding treasures, slamming doors. It’s a 10 minute walk from the beach. 5 minute walk from school. And there’s tons of retail and housing planned nearby.
We get in the car. I don’t want to get my hopes up because the Bay Area housing market is super competitive. We talk about how we like the house. We talk about future renovations. We ask the kids what they think. We read the inspections and reports. It’s totally livable.
It’s Thursday. Levi and I are scrambling. We both work. We both prep for Fridays trip. And we have pre-k graduation. Stress = HIGH
We say, yeah, let’s put an offer in on the house. We text our realtors and schedule a call for our drive Friday.
We’re driving through Nevada, talking through an offer - how much, escalation, how to invite a conversation. Our call keeps cutting out because we’re in rural Nevada (driving from California to Wyoming). We put an offer in.
We stay the night in Salt Lake City. We have a call with our realtors. They let us know we need to go higher. Now our call keeps cutting out because it’s late and the kids are screaming! After we get them to bed, we talk to them again, come up with a new number. And go to sleep. At 10:45 pm we get a text - they accepted our offer and WE’RE BUYING A HOUSE.
MAGIC. ABSOLUTE MAGIC.
But what you really want to know about is the energetic work behind the scenes!
That’s the true story of realizing our dreams. And that’s how I can help you! 100% no doubt.
